Quick Adventure
Join us on a fully guided adventure for 5 days spending time living on the tropical islands of Milne Bay including Nuakata Island, Boiboi Wagga Island and Yabam Island.
- Explore the islands and reefs around Nuakata Island and Eastcape
- Mix with the locals exploring villages as we walk and explore the islands we visit
- Sleep in traditionally made bungalow accommodation
- Enjoy local foods that are based predominantly around the sea and seafood
- Relax by the fire on the beach at night and tell stories with the locals
We'll move between the islands and reefs we are visiting on that day using local dinghy transport and you can explore secluded and remote beaches and also mix with locals inhabiting some of the islands.
You'll have the opportunity to swim and snorkel if you wish and you can help with the daily fishing we do to provide for ourselves and our local friends. You can also go paddling in traditional canoes, sailing aboard one of their traditional sailing canoes and even visit skull caves from a time long past.
We'll enjoy fires on the beach at night with our local friends while we enjoy the days catch prepared by our local hosts before retiring to our traditionally made bungalows. The bungalows have double and twin share accommodation available.
Catch a taxi from Alotau to Eastcape (about 200 Kina) about 50km east of Alotau, or you can travel like the locals do on a public motor vehicle (PMV) for about 12 Kina each way. Just catch the one to East Cape and tell the driver your joining the Wild PNG tour. They will direct you to us, or, you can book your pickup and transfers from Wild PNG Transport using the link at the top of this page.
Bring your swimming and snorkelling gear if you have it. We have a small quantity of sizes available for rent if you don't have any, but it's better to bring your own and gaurantee your fit. If you have some fishing gear, you can bring that too. If you want to drink alcohol, you'll need to get that in Alotau before you head out to Eastcape along with any snacks and softdrinks you'd like for your trip. We won't be pasing any shops during the adventure.

You can rent snorkelling gear although sizes are limited. Rental helps us replace and keep them in good condition for all our guests. You can also rent fishing gear if you'd like to try that and we rent it for the same reason. Lures you need to purchase though and we have a limited supply of those.
